Blossom Island

May 5, 2011

This collage  is based on a drawing I made of the lake landscape at Boom Festival, Portugal last summer. The water is a photograph I took of the sea off the edge of Brighton Marina, and the petals I found all over the south downs recently. This is inspired also by the artist Fred Caston, who has created some really lovely collaged landscapes.

Rainbow Wool!

rainbow wool, art photography, wool, rainbow art,

I have begun to explore photography and started to get the hang of my camera functions! I’ve been interested in the subtle difference between how something looks in front of a transparent object, and behind it. Let me know what you think 🙂 I love feedback.

Funky found object dice

May 5, 2011

I had a two week obsession with dice recently, having bought a whole bunch of them at a junk  market – this one is my favorite, as it has little colored animals on every face. I have just recently gotten into photography, the dice is photographed behind an acetate cube box which I made and then texturized with UHU glue.
